ABOUT : MARIAH’S  WORK
What would you like people to know about your work?   My work is my passion, so it never feels like work.

Why did you want to be a hair stylist?   I love making people feel beautiful. Sometimes it’s the hair that does the trick and sometimes it’s more about the conversation. Either way, I feel successful when my clients leave with a smile on their face.

Where did you go to school?     The Gary Manuel Aveda Institute in Seattle, WA.

What are your specialties?   Styling, corrective color and precision cutting are my top three!

What do you love most about being a stylist?  I love that I am able to make a living hanging out with awesome people and creating killer looks.

What inspires you / What influences your style?  I am inspired most by opposites. I love contrast.

Favorite hair style?    I love texture! Curls, braids, twists- you name it.

Favorite Hair Products?   MoroccanOil Hydrating Styling Cream is my go-to for all hair textures for soft, flexible hold and nourishing properties.

ABOUT : MARIAH’S  BACKGROUND
Where are you from?  I am a Washington native! I grew up in the Auburn area.

Favorite Books / Films / Bands?    The problem with entertainment in general is that I have favorites from all genres and categories- I can’t seem to pick one of anything!

Favorite Local Hangouts (Coffee, Food, Bars, etc)    I always love grabbing a coffee at Caffe Vita and a drink at Unicorn. Bands are always great at Barboza and a good read can always be found at Elliot Bay Bookstore.

What’s something most people don’t know about you?   I’m a great cook! That was something my mom and I had in common growing up, so I spent a lot of time in the kitchen learning from the best.
